Christopher Meloni teased a kiss just days after a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit promo finally teased him with longtime co-star Mariska Hargitay.
The 61-year-old actor took to Twitter on Tuesday to seemingly tease his character Eliot Stabler and Hargitay’s much-anticipated cute scene with Olivia Benson.
It all started when someone asked the star how he met the 59-year-old actress, who he has co-starred with on the NBC series since 1999.

Meloni replied, “I’m glad you asked. I had a screen test audition for a new show called Sex Crimes and when I walked in the door…”
Then things got a little contentious when a follower responded to her by mentioning Mad Men actor John Slattery, who has made two guest appearances on the series and was actually up for the role of Stabler.
The user wrote: “You have NO chemistry. Maybe it should have been Slattery instead.

It comes nearly a week and a half after Law & Order: SVU stars Meloni and Ice-T have slammed “bulls**t” claims that they’re embroiled in an ugly feud.

Ice-T, 64, took to Twitter on Monday, Jan. 16, to comment on an email he received from The National Enquirer about a story that said the two have been feuding since Meloni returned to the franchise in 2021. Law and Order: Organized Crime.
The email said “sources told The ENQUIRER that the former rapper has become jealous of the attention Mr. Meloni has received since his comeback.”
Ice-T denied any issues with Melon, 61, as he said he forwarded the email to long-time colleague Dick Wolf of the franchise – before saying the “clown MFs were making drama”.


It comes nearly a week and a half after Law & Order: SVU stars Ice-T and Meloni have dismissed “bulls**t” claims that they’re involved in an ugly feud.
He said, “I just sent this email to my man @Chris_Melon,” Ice-T said. “Clownass MFs trying to invent drama out of thin air… WOW… MFs are really on this BS.”
Meloni shared a picture of the email, writing, “So… [Ice-T] it was sent. He was kind enough to let me know that we were fighting.
Ice-T added to Melon’s comment, “LOL…Clownass MFs..Chris is my MF man! F’em They’re just making BS. Crazy.’

Ice-T has played the role of Detective Odafin ‘Fin’ Tutuola since 2000, spending 11 seasons appearing alongside Meloni.
After leaving the franchise after its 12th season in 2010, Meloni reprized his role as Detective Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: Organized Crime in 2021, which has had a crossover storyline with Law & Order: SVU.
Other long-running characters starring in the NBC series include Mariska Hargitay as Detective Olivia Benson (1999-2023), Dann Florek as Captain Don Cragen (1999-2021); and Richard Belzer as Detective John Munch (1999-2016).

The stars were snapped with Universal Studio Group Chairman Pearlena Igbokwe at an event in NYC last fall.
Ice-T discussed his longtime friendship with Melon on The View in 2021 before his return to the franchise.
She noted that she kept in touch with Melon “throughout the time” she was away from the series “because we’re friends in real life.”
He added: “For him to come back and see what’s going to happen with him and Mariska, everyone is waiting for that moment, but it’s good, he’s a friend, I worked with him for 12 years, we became close friends.”
